The Home Run Westin Wedding

Savannah & Ronnie’s Home Run Reception At The Westin Columbus

Ronnie is a professional baseball player, and he met his bride at Ohio State University. I’ve known Savannah’s family for many years and I was so happy when they picked me to be their DJ, especially since their reception was at one of our favorite venues Westin Columbus   From the ceremony, to the food, to the music, I can say they hit it out of the park with this reception!

You will see some awesome smiles on the faces of the bride and groom’s picture on this page - that’s because those smiles NEVER seemed to leave their faces the entire day. Their smiles are infectious and wonderful.

The couple had some unique items for the wedding. First off they had a three large shrubbery boxes that formed a large green wall. It made a nice contrast with the decor of the ballroom. This backdrop got a lot of use during the day as they had their first look, got married, and guests took pictures in front of it.

The ceremony music was unique too. Entrance to ceremony was to several songs from the Bridgerton soundtrack done by the Vitamin C Quartet like “In My Blood”, “Love Is A Choice”, and “Thank You, Next”. VERY nice.

The ballroom had a unique set up also. We had the sweetheart table but the table layouts were different from what we usually see here. They had the ballroom set up with white uplighting which really accents the beauty of the ballroom.

They also had our ‘roaming photo booth’ which was a big hit with their guests! We took SO MANY pictures of everyone from the start of cocktail hour in the foyer, to the last song.

Then it became time to celebrate. You know lots of couples tell us they are going to have a wide range of music. And thats often a concern of couples because they want ALL their guests to dance. Let’s just say that wasn’t a problem for these people.

THEY DANCED TO EVERYTHING!

Roddy Rick to Sam Hunt to Drake to Journey to Young Thug to Calvin Harris. I even played “Come On Eileen” and it worked! But I think seeing the groom dance to “Poison” by Bell Biv DeVoe will be one of my best memories of the evening.

I honestly had a lot of fun at this reception!
