"THE Bigger The Party The Better" Reception at the Sheraton Columbus Capital Square

When we meet with prospective couples, they usually tell us that they wan to have a fun reception. We get this all the time because we are a DJ company. Because of that we are responsible for a large portion of the fun at receptions, so this request is not unusual at all.....

Sheraton Columbus Capital Square Wedding

First Dance Song:
"Can't Help Falling In Love" - Elvis Presley

Father-Daughter Song:
"My Little Girl" - Tim McGraw

Groom-Mother Song:
"Dream A Little Dream" - Micheal Buble

But then you get couples likes like Alyssa and Brenden.  Not only did they tell us that they wanted to have a fun reception, their exact quote was 'the bigger the party the better'.

Their reception was in downtown Columbus at the Sheraton.  We had not been at the Sheraton Capital Square for a few years, so I was excited to see it again since I've got so many great memories of that building.

The reception was in the Governor's Ballroom. A beautiful white drape was along one side of the wall. We used our wireless uplighting fixtures to light the room in a beautiful amber color.  Between the decor lighting, the flowers, and the table settings, the room looked INCREDIBLE!

One of the nice things about the Sheraton is that you can have your cocktail hour (or even your ceremony if you want) outside on the patio that over looks the Ohio Statehouse. The weather was just perfect for a late July evening, and the cocktail hour was a huge success.

Alyssa's family is Greek. So just before the dancing begun, the guests were treated to a special Greek tradition, the bread dance.  A custom made loaf of bread is brought out onto the dance floor.  We played some Greek music while everyone danced around and took turns holding the bread.

Alyssa and Brenden supplied us with a great list of songs to play for both the cocktail party outside and then of course the reception. We played so many great songs...

How did their songs work for packing the dance floor?  Just look at some of the pictures below.

THANK YOU to Alyssa & Brenden.  We are sure you two will have many happy years together.

We just have to give a special note of thanks to the several of the wedding vendors.  Erin McMichael was the wedding coordinator.  Mandy at the Sheraton.  Brian and Maria at 222 Photography. Together we made a really good team!
